Reset Mac Mini to Factory Settings using Windows Keyboard

Before returning the Apple Mac Mini with Apple M1 Chip (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD Storage) to exchange for Apple Mac Mini with Apple M1 Chip (8GB RAM, 512GB SSD Storage), I had to reset it to factory settings. While it turned out to be a simple process, I didn't know exactly how to go about it initially since I was using a USB Windows keyboard. Here's what I had to do restore it to factory settings:
  • shutdown the system
  • while simulatenouly pressing and holding Windows key + R key on windows keyboard, press and hold the Power button on Mac Mini until MacOS utilities dialog appears. Let go off the keys and power button now
  • Erase (i.e.) format the disk using Disk Utility option from MacOS utilities dialog. Exit Disk Utility once formating is completed.
  • choose Install MacOS option from the MacOS utilities dialog and follow the prompts. Installation may take over an hour.
The same can be done using a Mac keyboard but by pressing and holding Command + R keys while pressing and holding the power button. I am suspecting this may not work when using a bluetooth keyboard, I haven't tried it though becuse I do not have an Apple Magic Keyboard.
