Must be a coincidence but it was cloudy and raining as I passed through parts of Oregon to get to Boise, ID from Carson City, NV. I'm hoping it won't be raining all day when I visit Oregon for a day during the final stretch of my 48StatesIn48Days trip.
I find Boise, ID quite nice. Small city (but certainly bigger than Carson City, NV) with easy traffic, clean streets, lovely downtown area, restaurants, amenities, etc. The weather is sunny and warm now and I feel like I can live in this city but not sure what I would say if I was visiting here in winter!
