Strength in Numbers!

Every year in winter these ladybugs gather at a park in Oakland, CA. They arrive in huge numbers...like hundreds of thousands! One early morning I found these clinging to a twig few inches away from an enormous group.

Shot with a Tamron 180mm macro lens (at f/4.0) on Nikon D800.

Colors/tones adjusted in Lightroom, then cropped and saved as JPG file in Photoshop.
